The 650 km long coastal road Fv17 (Fylkesvei 17) is right on the norwegian atlantic coast between “Steinkier” and “Bodø”. The project, right on the arctic circle, is one of many norwegian government projects to secure the traffic from imminent rockfalls. The new 5.5 km long route leads through two tunnels, through a newly planned embankment – bridge construction and rejoins the old road at the end of the project.
